Performance “Calder Piece by Earle Brown”

Visitors to Fondation Beyeler have the rare opportunity this weekend to experience the performance “Calder Piece by Earle Brown”, performed by the acclaimed ensemble Les Percussions de Strasbourg.

Earle Brown’s “Calder Piece” (1963–1966) was premiered in 1967 at the Théâtre de l’Atelier in Paris. At the centre of the stage is Alexander Calder’s “Chef d’orchestre”, a mobile created especially for this musical work.

“Calder Piece by Earle Brown” will be performed on 26 and 27 September 2026 at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the Renzo Piano Hall on the lower-ground level of the Beyeler Museum.

No registration required. The event is included in the museum admission.
